The End of Salpet’s Era …

Finally salpet’s era comes to an end, peacefully. This is due to the death of salpet and the rebirth of something else. This is a backup blog with all the post from my previous blogs Salpet-Online and myIndians-Online. Posts here will remain forever, but please take note they are just rough backup, which means some pictures, videos and downloads might be missing …

My Adbrite Payment Finally Arrived

After a long wait, finally i received my Adbrite check. The amount was satisfactory as i was really in need of some cash. Thanks Adbrite.

As some of you might have noticed, i’m a blogger who uses not much advertisement on my blogs. The ads that i use are from adsense, adbrite and also advertlets (Triple-A). I’m yet to receive any payment from Advertlets yet, but the way it’s going i guess i would be getting it soon.

Since i lost a display card, i could use the money to get a replacement display card!

My Radeon 9250 Died!

My stupid display card which is the Radeon 9250 died recently leaving me behind without a life. Yes due to this stupid problem i was not able to use my PC. Here is the screenshot of the dead radeon 9250 display card. May your soul rest in peace!

Some may ask why didn’t i buy a replacement card, well i really didn’t have the money to buy a new AGP card and it’s hard to find. Somehow i found my old Geforce 2 display card in a drawer and i’m back in action. I’m just wondering why i did not think of it earlier.

But anyway i am back and i will be back to my blogging world! So good to be back home

God Sivan and Parvathy Spotted?

I am a person who believes deeply into devotion and god, and recently i received a forwarded email claiming that someone say a light figure of Sivan and Parvathy appearing in a temple in Malaysia. Seriously i don’t know how true this story is, but here is the claimed story and attached picture of what happened.

This pic was taken via my mobile on 07.10.2007 in Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple – Bt15,
Jalan Klang-Banting, Jenjarom (Selangor).

Hundreds of people witnesses this incident which last for 2 1/2 hours. This features was believed to be the face of God Sivan – Parvathy. As the time passes, it can be seen very clearly.

Well i’m not really sure if i could see Sivan nor Parvathy in the picture, but i seriously feel this is an act of attraction making. If someone can really confirm this, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

As i was listening to a few songs on imeem, i came upon the song called “Raven” by Hedningarna. To my surprise i have heard this song before and its also one of my favourites, but, please remember the song i heard was in tamil and composed by Yuvan. It was actually the song “Kadhal Kadhal – Kadhal Konden”. Check it out.

All this while i’ve almost thought that Yuvan was so great for composing such a great song in Kadhal Kondein, but now i’m simply rethinking my thoughts.

Does Dream Really Happen?

Been on the bed for some time earlier, couldn’t sleep and suddenly something struck my mind. Does dreaming really occur? Maybe it is just a preview of what is going to happen in the future? Or is it really happening to someone else at another time? and we are getting to watch it?

As Described by Wikipedia:

A dream is the experience of a sequence of images, sounds, ideas, emotions, or other sensations during sleep, especially REM sleep.

The events of dreams are often impossible, or unlikely to occur, in physical reality: they are also outside the control of the dreamer. The exception to this is known as lucid dreaming, in which dreamers realize that they are dreaming, and are sometimes capable of changing their dream environment and controlling various aspects of the dream. Lets take a situation:

Just say one day you are dreaming of making out with an unknown girl and everything seems so real. You are sure the guy is you but not sure who is the girl and you don’t get to see her face.

At this point have you ever thought that the unknown girl would have been having the same dream, but for her the guy in her dream is unknown to her? Who knows, it could be true. Especially when the dream is almost real. At times once we would have had a dream and after some time we really experience it and feel that it really happen somewhere before.

I’m not saying dream is all the time real, because at times we do dream about weird things! For example being a superhero, seeing aliens and etc :p But if we think hard, it does make sense that dreams could be true. I guess its just how we conclude it. But i do wish that dreams do come true but i will never want a nightmare to come true

The Coconut Crab

A few days ago i received a forwarded email from a friend with some photos of an animal called “Coconut Crab“. Yes they are crabs that climb and stays on coconut trees! Weird? I find it to be scary!

Yes exactly, they look damn scary and what the hell is a crab doing climbing on trees? From the photo you can see that the crab looks like a robot or something, almost like a creature from Ultraman. So thinking its fake, i did a search and found some surprising results.

The coconut crab (Birgus latro) is the largest terrestrial arthropod in the world. It is a derived hermit crab which is known for its ability to crack coconuts with its strong pincers in order to eat the contents. It is sometimes called the robber crab or palm thief (cf. German Palmendieb), because some coconut crabs are rumored to steal shiny items such as pots and silverware from houses and tents. Another name is the terrestrial hermit crab, due to the use of shells by the young animals (although terrestrial hermit crab also applies to a number of other hermit crabs — see Australian land hermit crab). The coconut crab also has different local names as for example ayuyu in Guam, or unga or kaveu.
